Great post. Lately I've been finding that talent is overrated quite a bit. The examples you gave from this book further prove it- talent can be taught. It all boils down to initiative. It can't be taught and you can't get a degree in it. But if you show it- you can do anything at all!

Talent definitely is overrated. It's the people who have 'will' and determination who get places, rather than people who are talented per se.
